Lucknow: The Sindhi community of Lucknow inaugurated the Sant Kanwar Ram Rain Basera at the Sant Kanwar Ram Chauraha in Alambagh. The shelter, dedicated to providing night accommodation for the underprivileged during the winter months, was inaugurated by Saint Sai Mohan Lal Sahib Ji of Shiv Shanti Sant Asudaram Ashram.

The initiative, organized by the Sant Kanwar Ram Seva Mandal, marks its 12th consecutive year of service to the community. The shelter aims to ensure comfort, hygiene, and security for those in need during harsh weather conditions.

Speaking on the occasion, Ammar Uthwani, President of the Seva Mandal, and Pritam Walecha, Secretary, jointly stated that the Rain Basera has become a symbol of compassion and selfless service in Lucknow. They emphasized that the shelter not only provides temporary relief but also reflects the community’s commitment to humanitarian values.

Saint Sai Mohan Lal highlighted the importance of the initiative and commended the dedicated efforts of the Seva Mandal volunteers who strive to make each year’s arrangements better than before.

Hemant Chandnani, Vice President of the organization, informed that several dignitaries attended the inauguration, including former Mayor. Sanyukta Bhatia, Councillors Piyush Diwan and Girish Mishra, along with Santaramb Chandwani, Satendra Bhavnani, Tarun Sangwani, and Darpan Lakhmani.

The event concluded with prayers for peace and prosperity, as community members reaffirmed their pledge to continue serving humanity in the spirit of Sant Kanwar Ram’s teachings of love, service, and unity.
