Lucknow Smart City Board Reviews Projects, Directs Handover of ITMS and Safe City to Police

Lucknow, August 7, 2026 : Lucknow Smart City Limited held its 27th Board meeting on Friday at the conference room on the second floor of the Smart City office. The meeting was chaired by Divisional Commissioner and LSCL Chairman Vijay Vishwas Pant. Municipal Commissioner and LSCL CEO Gaurav Kumar presented the agenda on the status and progress of ongoing and completed smart city projects.

Aliaganj Urban Facilitation Centre handed over to Nagar Nigam
The Board was informed that the Urban Facilitation Centre and Senior Citizen Care Centre built under Smart City in Sector-B, Aliaganj, have been transferred to Lucknow Municipal Corporation. The corporation’s Zone-3 office is now running from the first and second floors of the building. The facility is equipped with modern amenities.

The ground floor has been developed specifically for senior citizens. A multipurpose hall now offers carrom, chess and other indoor games along with resources for recreational and social activities, aimed at giving elderly residents entertainment and community engagement under one roof.

ITMS and Safe City to be transferred to Police Department  
The Intelligent Traffic Management System project was also reviewed. The Board noted the three-month extension granted to the contracted firm and directed officials to complete the process of handing over both ITMS and the Safe City project to the Police Department at the earliest to improve traffic management and public safety.

Health ATM operations extended till December 2026
A key decision was taken on the Health ATM project being run by SGPGI. The Board approved an extension for operations till December 2026. Officials were instructed to carry out wide publicity of the health checkup services available at these kiosks so more people can benefit.

Several tests are available at affordable rates including sugar, pregnancy test, hemoglobin, ECG, dengue, malaria and urine tests. Free services include blood pressure, BMI, ENT/skin check, pulse oximeter and body temperature measurement. The Board stressed better awareness about these facilities.

Additional responsibilities assigned to officials  
On the administrative front, the Board approved additional charges. Mahamilind Lal, Chief Finance and Accounts Officer of Lucknow Municipal Corporation, will hold additional charge as Chief Finance Officer of LSCL in place of Deepak Singh. Additional Municipal Commissioner Pankaj Srivastava has been given additional charge as Additional CEO of LSCL following the transfer of Lalit Kumar.

Those present included Chairman Vijay Vishwas Pant, CEO Gaurav Kumar, Additional CEO Pankaj Srivastava, CFO Mahamilind Lal, the Finance Controller of Lucknow Development Authority, Chief Engineer of Jal Nigam, and LSCL General Manager Projects S.C. Singh, along with other concerned officers.
