Book Launch of Raghvendra Sengar ‘Kamal’ and Sangeeta Sengar Marks a Celebration of Literature and Life
Lucknow: A literary evening brimming with thought, creativity, and heartfelt expression unfolded at the Press Club, Lucknow, as the Sarvajan Hitaya Sahityik Samiti organized a grand ceremony to launch two notable works — “Anjuri Anubhav Ki”, a short story collection by senior writer Raghvendra Sengar ‘Kamal’, and “Pati Ke Patra Patni Ke Naam”, a deeply personal and evocative book by his wife, Sangeeta Sengar.
The event was presided over by Acharya Suryaprasad Dixit, with Dr. Umashankar Shukla ‘Shitikant’, a renowned literary critic, as the chief guest. Dr. Gopal Krishna Sharma ‘Mridul’, editor and literary critic of Chetna Srot, graced the ceremony as the special guest.
The evening began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by an invocation presented by senior poetess Shobha Dixit ‘Bhavana’. Ashok Kumar Pandey, President of the organizing committee, delivered the welcome address, setting the tone for a celebration of literature’s timeless appeal.
Following the formal book launch, both authors shared insights into their creative journeys and inspirations behind their works.
In his address, Dr. Gopal Krishna Sharma ‘Mridul’ remarked, “True literature is born from the universalization of personal experiences drawn from the various shades of life.”
Chief guest Dr. Shitikant observed, “Literature remains the most effective medium to elevate human consciousness.”
Chairperson Prof. Dixit emphasized, “To keep literature alive and dynamic, we must continue to refine and enrich our language.”
The ceremony witnessed the presence of several eminent and emerging writers and poets of Lucknow, including Rajendra Shukla ‘Raj’ (Convenor), K.K. Singh (Former General Secretary, SBI), R.K. Naag (Theatre Director), Prof. Dharmendra Sengar, Ravindra, Kaushalendra, Siddharth, and Vasco Tiwari (Media Co-incharge) among others.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Anant Prakash Tiwari (Secretary), who extended gratitude to all literary contributors and attendees for making the evening an inspiring tribute to the written word.
