Dedicated to ‘Vision 2047: Developed India, Developed State’ | November 13–23, 2025

Kanpur is set to turn into a vibrant hub of knowledge, literature, and culture as the Kanpur Book Fair 2025 gears up for its grand opening on November 13 at the GIC Ground, Chunniganj. The 10-day literary festival, inspired by the vision of Speaker of the Legislative Assembly,  Satish Mahana, is dedicated to the ambitious theme “Vision 2047: Developed India, Developed State.”
The fair promises to be a feast for readers and cultural enthusiasts alike, running daily until November 23, 2025, with free entry for all visitors.

A Festival of Books and Ideas
According to Aakarsh Chandel, Director of the Kanpur Book Fair, the event will feature over 80 stalls representing renowned publishers, distributors, literary and social organizations from across India. Visitors can explore a treasure trove of thousands of books in Hindi, English, Urdu, and regional languages, spanning literature, education, science, self-development, and children’s fiction.
The fair will be inaugurated by  Satish Mahana on November 13 at 5:00 PM.

A Legacy of Literary Excellence
Convenor Manoj Singh Chandel shared that Force One Books, the organizer, has a legacy of over 22 years of hosting successful book fairs in Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, and Agra. The National Book Fair in Lucknow, initiated in 2003, remains one of India’s most prestigious literary events.
“Our mission is to revive the fading culture of book reading and bring the light of knowledge to every individual,” said Chandel. “The Kanpur Book Fair aims to re-establish reading as a shared community experience.”

Beyond Books: A Cultural Extravaganza
The fair is not just about books—it’s a festival of ideas, art, and creativity. Visitors can look forward to:

Meet-the-author sessions and panel discussions with eminent and emerging writers.

Poetry recitals, mushairas, and book launches every evening.

A children’s corner featuring storytelling, art contests, and fun learning activities.

A special youth zone encouraging creative writing and literary exploration.

The fair will remain open daily from 11 AM to 9 PM, offering a minimum 10% discount on all book purchases.

The 20,000-square-foot German waterproof hanger will host an impressive line-up of publishers including:
Rajkamal Prakashan, Rajpal & Sons, Gita Press, Lokbharti Prakashan, Sasta Sahitya Mandal, Hindi Yugm, Samyak Prakashan, Publications Division (Ministry of I&B), ICAI, National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language, Nikhil Publishers, Divyansh Publications, Dinkar Pustakalaya, Bodhras Prakashan, Padma Book Company, Universal Book Store, Yogoda Satsang Society of India, Aditri Book Center, and many others.
