Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Reviews Ayodhya Master Plan-2031
Lucknow - Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the Ayodhya Master Plan-2031, emphasizing that the city's development should be a harmonious blend of grandeur, faith, and modernity. The plan aims to establish Ayodhya as the spiritual capital of the world through planned, systematic, and sustainable growth.
Key Highlights of the Master Plan:
- Global Spiritual Hub: Ayodhya will be developed as a global centre for spirituality and tourism, featuring pilgrim-friendly infrastructure, diversified tourism, historical circuits, and heritage walks.
- Land Use Allocation: The Ayodhya Development Area has been divided into 18 zones, with 52.56% land allocated for residential, 5.11% for commercial, 4.65% for industrial, 10.28% for public use, 12.20% for transport, and 14.31% for green and open spaces.
- Infrastructure Development: The plan includes new residential townships, a grand entrance gate, multi-level parking, the 84 Kosi Parikrama Marg, a Greenfield Expressway, a ring road, an airport, a temple museum, a solar power plant, hotels, and modern civic amenities.
- Environmental Sustainability: Every project must ensure environmental sustainability, with strict measures to protect the Saryu riverbanks and green belts.
Chief Minister's Directions:
- Prioritize Ayodhya's cultural heritage, religious sanctity, and environmental balance in development projects.
- Increase mixed-use and industrial land, and reserve land for activities along Panchkosi and 14 Kosi Parikrama Marg.
- Develop parking facilities, including bus and truck terminals, on routes leading to Lucknow, Prayagraj, Gonda, and Ambedkar Nagar.
- Reserve land for sewage treatment and solid waste management, encouraging innovations and indigenous models.
Economic and Social Impact:
- 159 projects worth Rs 8,594 crore approved, creating employment opportunities and boosting the regional economy.
- Ayodhya's population expected to reach 2.4 million by 2031 and 3.5 million by 2047.
