Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to Visit Lucknow on July 13 for KGMU Convocation, Expressway Inauguration & Public Meeting

Lucknow: Bharatiya Janata Party Lucknow Metropolitan President Anand Dwivedi announced that Defence Minister of India and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh will be on a one-day visit to Lucknow on Sunday, July 13, 2026. 

According to the schedule, the Defence Minister will arrive at Lucknow Airport at 10:35 AM and proceed directly to King George’s Medical University [KGMU]. He will attend the 22nd Convocation Ceremony from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. 

Following the convocation, Singh will head to his official residence at 5, Kalidas Marg. At 3:00 PM, he will depart from La Martiniere College helipad by helicopter for Unnao to inaugurate the Lucknow–Kanpur Expressway. The project is expected to give new momentum to the state’s infrastructure development. 

After the inauguration, the Defence Minister will return to Lucknow and pay floral tribute to martyrs at the War Memorial, Sainik School, Sarojini Nagar. 

He will then address a large public meeting at the Sainik School campus between 4:30 PM and 5:45 PM. 

Concluding his engagements, Rajnath Singh will depart for New Delhi from Lucknow Airport at 6:00 PM.
