String of soulful events mark Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s 75th Birthday

Musical Sundarkand Recital at Hanuman Setu, Senior Workers Felicitated

Lucknow. On the occasion of the 75th birthday of Defence Minister of India and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh, the Lucknow Metropolitan unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party organised religious, social, and service programmes across the city. The main event was a musical _Sundarkand Path_ at the Hanuman Setu parking ground, attended by a large number of BJP office-bearers, workers, and devotees.  

The programme was formally inaugurated by Lucknow Metropolitan BJP President Anand Dwivedi with prayers to the Shri Ram Darbar and Lord Hanuman.  

Present on the occasion were Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak, Cabinet Minister Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, BJP State Vice President Dr. Neeraj Singh, Lucknow Metropolitan BJP President Anand Dwivedi, MLC Mukesh Sharma, along with Mandal Presidents, Councillors, office-bearers and hundreds of party workers.  

Senior Workers Honoured

Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak and Metropolitan President Anand Dwivedi felicitated senior social workers and karyakartas — Subhash Agarwal, Ajay Arora, Brij Kishore Dwivedi, Sadhana Verma, Madhuri Shukla, Om Prakash Dhanuk, Dr. Vivek, Ram Ratan Maurya and Ramchandra Chaurasia — with shawls, bouquets, and mementos.  

Extending birthday greetings to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak said Rajnath Singh’s public life is an inspiring example of simplicity, honesty, discipline and service to the nation. He added that as Defence Minister, Singh has strengthened national security while also giving new momentum to Lucknow’s development.  

BJP State Vice President Dr. Neeraj Singh said the vision for Lucknow seen by late Atal Bihari Vajpayee is being realised continuously by Rajnath Singh. “The sapling of public service and organisational work that he planted has today grown into a mighty banyan tree. Under his leadership and efforts, Lucknow’s development has gained pace through world-class projects,” he said.  

Cabinet Minister Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary said he had the opportunity to work with Rajnath Singh for many years. “From District President to State President and National President, Rajnath Singh has discharged every organisational responsibility successfully. His personality is a source of inspiration and guidance for workers,” he said.  

Lucknow Metropolitan BJP President Anand Dwivedi said Rajnath Singh has always remained dedicated to Lucknow’s development, workers’ respect, and public welfare. “On his birthday, Lucknow Metropolis is organising various religious, social and service programmes to wish him good health, long life, and continued glory,” he added.

Rudrabhishek at Budheshwar Temple  
In West Assembly constituency, Anjani Kumar, runner-up candidate, organised a Rudrabhishek at Budheshwar Temple. Lucknow Metropolitan BJP President Anand Dwivedi, Metropolitan General Secretaries Satyendra Singh, Vimal Chaudhary, Ramshankar Rajput, Dharmendra Singh and other office-bearers prayed for the Defence Minister’s good health and long life.  

Sundarkand at Ramchandra Pradhan’s Residence  
A _Sundarkand Path_ was organised at MLC Ramchandra Pradhan’s residence. Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak, Lucknow Metropolitan BJP President Anand Dwivedi, MLC Avneesh Kumar Singh and other public representatives prayed at Lord Hanuman’s feet for Rajnath Singh’s long life.  

Service at Adarsh Kushth Ashram
In a spirit of service and dedication, food was distributed at Adarsh Kushth Ashram. Anand Dwivedi, Arvind Tripathi ‘Guddu’, Nanak Chand Lakhwani, Sanyukta Bhatia, Satyabir Singh Raju and Rajendra Singh Bagga served meals to the residents.  

Ardas at Gurudwara Naka Hindola
The Sikh community organised an Ardas at Gurudwara Sahib, Naka Hindola, for the Defence Minister’s good health and longevity. Present were Sardar Dilpreet Singh Virk, Sardar Ranveer Singh Kalsi, Sardar Jaskaran Singh Kohli, Sardar Kulbir Singh Sodhi, Sardar Jaspal Singh and Sardar Lakhwinder Pal Singh.  

Prayers were also held at Shiv Prasad Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Lal Kuan, where students recited blessings for Rajnath Singh’s birthday.  

Bhajan-Kirtan at Siddheshwar Mahadev Temple
The OBC Morcha organised bhajan-kirtan and prasad distribution at Siddheshwar Mahadev Temple, Mewa Bhagat, Old Haiderganj. OBC Morcha President Ganesh Verma, Deepak Sahu and a large number of office-bearers and workers attended.  

Fruit Distribution at Civil Hospital
On the occasion of the 75th birthday, fruits were distributed to patients at Civil Hospital. MLC Mukesh Sharma, Metropolitan General Secretary Tinku Sonkar, Metropolitan Vice President Saurabh Valmiki and other office-bearers met patients, enquired about their well-being, and wished them a speedy recovery.  

Special Prayers at Madrasa
Led by BJP Minority Morcha Lucknow Metropolitan President Shadab Alam, special prayers were held with children at Madrasa Sattaria Rizvia, Machhli Mohal, Cantt Road. Prayers were offered for the Defence Minister’s good health and long life, and sweets were distributed among the children. Imams Afroz Alam, Maulana Qaseesul Warsi, Salim Azad Makki, Mazin Rasool, Mohammad Nadeem and Mohammad Salman Hashmi were present.
