Yogi Government's Big Step: 'Divyangjan Rojgar Abhiyan 3.0' to Run from August 3 to 10
Lucknow: To make Divyangjan economically empowered and self-reliant, the Yogi government is organizing 'Divyangjan Rojgar Abhiyan 3.0' across the state from August 3 to 10, 2026.
The Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, Kapil Dev Agarwal, stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, connecting Divyangjan with a dignified livelihood is the government's priority. He said that the objective of this special initiative by the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission is to provide employment and self-employment opportunities to skilled Divyangjan, including other eligible and interested Divyang youth, according to their qualifications and skills.
During the campaign, special employment activities will be organized in all government ITIs across the state. Divyang candidates will be provided with information about various self-employment schemes in addition to employment. The District Industries and Export Promotion Center will gather information on vacancies by coordinating with industrial units and commercial establishments, while the MSME department will assist with self-employment schemes and loans and financial assistance through lead banks.
District Divyangjan Empowerment Officer and District Employment Assistance Officer will connect registered candidates on the Rojgar Sangam portal with vacancies. A key feature of the campaign is that physical verification of Divyangjan who benefited in the previous two phases will also be conducted to assess their current status.
The Yogi government's intention is that no Divyangjan should be deprived of employment. Extensive publicity is being carried out for this. A district-level committee has been formed in each district, chaired by the Chief Development Officer, to monitor and coordinate the campaign.
By August 10, details of beneficiaries from all districts will be sent to the government, and the District Magistrates and their teams from the top five districts that provide the most employment and self-employment will be honored with a certificate of appreciation at the government level. To prepare for this, Mission Director Pulkit Khare held an online meeting with all CDOs and concerned officials on July 30 and gave necessary instructions.
