Three Sacred Copies of Guru Granth Sahib Dedicated to the Sangat with Reverence
A congregation of devotees led by the Panj Pyare from Gurdwara Baba Chand, Govind Nagar, Kanpur arrived at Gurdwara Alambagh, Lucknow to receive three sacred copies of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Upon reaching the Gurdwara Sahib, the three sacred copies brought along were first installed in the Gurdwara Sahib with due reverence and in accordance with Sikh maryada.
Following this, Ardas was performed and the eternal Guru Ka Langar was served. After the langar seva, the three new sacred copies were presented to the Sangat with full respect and maryada. The Sangat then departed to take them to their respective designated Gurdwaras.
On this occasion, S. Nirmal Singh, President of Gurdwara Alambagh, informed that with the support of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and the special efforts of S. Jatinder Singh Uppal, a total of 150 sacred copies have been made available at Gurdwara Alambagh so far.
He said that through this seva, the free distribution of sacred copies of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to various Gurdwaras and the Sangat across Uttar Pradesh continues uninterrupted.
He added that this seva of the Guru Ghar strengthens the maryada, faith, and spirit of humanity of the Sikh Panth. Expressing gratitude to the Sangat and all collaborators, he expressed confidence that this sacred seva will continue in the same manner in the future as well.
