Kanpur Book Fair 2025: A Day Where Strings Met Stories
Kanpur — The corridors of Rajkiya Inter College, Chunniganj resonated not just with the rustle of pages, but with the delicate, soul-stirring strains of the sitar on the seventh day of the Kanpur Book Fair 2025. For one magical hour, literature and music wove together seamlessly, creating an atmosphere where words and melodies danced in harmony.
From 12:30 to 1:30 PM, the music department students of Dayanand Girls P.G. College enthralled the audience under the guidance of Professor Ruchimita Pandey. They presented a medley of Vande Mataram, Gayatri Mantra, Raga Bhupali, and other enchanting compositions, filling the fair with serenity and rhythm. The young artists—Deepa Khilwani, Sita Sharma, Prachi Sharma, Saloni Tripathi, Sanjana Yadav, Janhavi Shukla, Chaitanya Mishra, Sheetal Verma, Sandhya Kumari, Abhivyanzna Singh, Anushka Pal, and Priya Goswami—displayed extraordinary talent, beginning with Adhya Gupta’s Ganesh Vandana and concluding with a soul-stirring duet by Adhya Srivastav and Rituja Shastri. The event was meticulously coordinated by Sangeeta Chauhan and Vikas Sharma of Shri Baiju Music College.
The fair continues to celebrate the world of literature, and tomorrow promises even more literary splendor. On November 20, poetry and storytelling enthusiasts will gather for:
-
02:00–04:00 PM: Poetry Symposium by Samras Sahitya Sansthan
-
04:30–09:00 PM: Poets’ Conference by Ujaas Sanstha, moderated by Abha Dwivedi
With stalwart support from Origins, Vijay Studio, Kanpur Metro, Kiran Foundation, City Essence, and Trade Mitra, the fair, organized by Forceone Books, continues to be a vibrant confluence of culture, creativity, and knowledge—where every visitor can experience the timeless magic of literature and art in the heart of Kanpur.
