Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Reviews Preparations for 19th National Jamboree of Bharat Scouts and Guides
Lucknow - Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today reviewed the preparations for the 19th National Jamboree of Bharat Scouts and Guides, scheduled to be held from November 23 to 29, 2025, at the Defense Expo Ground, Sector-15, Vrindavan Yojana, Lucknow.
The Chief Minister emphasized that hosting this prestigious national event after 61 years is a matter of pride for the state. He directed officials to ensure that the event showcases Uttar Pradesh's efficiency, arrangements, security, and hospitality capabilities.
Key Directions and Highlights
- Ensure coordination in arrangements for security, traffic, cleanliness, health, accommodation, food, and cultural programs, similar to the Mahakumbh Mela.
- Reflect the theme of the 19th National Jamboree, "Atmanirbhar-Swadeshi Bharat, Swachh Evam Viksit Bharat, Green Evam Sustainable Bharat," at every level.
- Establish exhibition stalls, including state-wise exhibitions, Global Village, 75 years of Scouting exhibition, Air Agniveer, One District-One Product, Solar, Robotics, Electronics, and Army exhibitions.
- Set up an IT and Artificial Intelligence Hub to develop technical, social, and leadership skills among youth.
- Ensure 24x7 CCTV surveillance, security, and emergency response systems are active throughout the event.
- Provide good lighting arrangements and train personnel to ensure a pleasant experience for participants.
The meeting was informed that the event will witness participation from around 28,000 to 29,000 Scouts and Guides from across the country, 1,000 to 2,000 participants from abroad, and around 5,000 volunteers and staff members. The venue spans approximately 300 acres, with a perimeter of over 7 kilometers.
The arrangements include 3,500 tents, 2,200 toilets, 1,700 bathrooms, 100 kitchens, and 4 central kitchens. The main arena stadium, covering around 10 lakh square feet, can accommodate 30,000 spectators, with 12 entry gates, 11 LED screens, and 5 German hangar-equipped VIP galleries.
The Chief Minister directed officials to make necessary arrangements for guests from India and abroad visiting Uttar Pradesh during the Jamboree, ensuring a green and sustainable event with e-cart transportation, Green Pledge Wall, and thematic selfie points.
Event Highlights
- A 2-day grand drone show, featuring hundreds of drones presenting the story of Scouting and youth empowerment.
- RFID-based smart ID cards for participant entry and attendance management.
- WhatsApp-based communication system for real-time updates and information.
- Skill workshops, adventure, and amusement activities, including rappelling, wall climbing, sky cycling, zip line, archery, shooting, zorbing balls, commando bridge, and plank bridge.
The event is expected to be a grand finale of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Bharat Scouts and Guides, showcasing the country's rich cultural heritage and promoting youth empowerment.
