Search Foundation to Celebrate 25th ‘Bal Utsav’ on November 18

Lucknow | Search Foundation will celebrate its 25th Bal Utsav, titled “Dadi, Mummy Aur Hum” at the International Buddhist Research Institute Auditorium in Lucknow. Organized as part of the Children’s Day celebrations, the event promises to be a vibrant confluence of generations, creativity, and compassion.

According to Smile Man Sarvesh Asthana, founder of Search Foundation and president of the Uttar Pradesh Sahitya Sabha, this silver jubilee edition will be unique — for the first time, not only children and their mothers but also grandmothers and maternal grandmothers will take the stage to present special performances. The event will also feature performances by differently-abled child artists, showcasing the spirit of courage and inclusivity.

On this special occasion, several eminent personalities will be honoured with the Bal Raksha Samman for their contribution towards the welfare and encouragement of child talent.

Speaking at the Search Foundation office near Ekana Stadium, Asthana shared that the one-day event will feature dance and musical performances conceptualized by him and choreographed by Ratna Asthana, head of Ratna Dance Academy. One of the major attractions will be a three-generation fashion show, symbolizing the bond between children, mothers, and grandmothers.

The chief guest for the event will be Dr. Dinesh Sharma, Rajya Sabha MP and former Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. The celebration will also include devotional music performances and poetry recitals, adding a soulful touch to the cultural evening.

Asthana further mentioned that while the young participants will display their emerging talents, grandmothers and elderly participants will inspire the audience by overcoming physical limitations with determination. Meanwhile, visually and hearing-impaired children will convey a powerful message — that true victory belongs to those with courage and willpower.

The silver jubilee celebration of Search Foundation’s Bal Utsav will begin at 4 PM and is expected to be a heartwarming blend of art, emotion, and intergenerational harmony.
