Northern Railway Enhances Passenger Facilities for Festivals

Lucknow: Northern Railway has made extensive arrangements to cater to the surge in passenger traffic during the Diwali, Chhath, and other festivals. The railway has taken several steps to enhance passenger facilities at Lucknow and Varanasi stations.

At Lucknow station, mobile ticketing has been introduced, allowing passengers to book tickets without standing in queues. Additionally, 33 new ticket counters have been opened at the station. Similarly, at Varanasi station, 31 extra ticket counters have been set up to handle the increased passenger traffic.

Railway officials said that extra staff has been deployed during the festival period to ensure that passengers face no inconvenience. The railway administration is confident that these arrangements will make it easier for passengers to book tickets and reduce crowding on platforms.

These measures are expected to provide relief to passengers traveling during the festive season, enabling them to reach their destinations comfortably. The railway's initiative is a welcome move, aimed at making the festival travel experience smoother and more enjoyable for passengers.
