In the latest global assessment, the university has secured a place in the 781–790 rank band, reflecting stable and consistent performance amid intensifying international competition.
Recognized as a “very high” research output institution, Lucknow University’s strong publication record and significant citation impact underscore its faculty’s and researchers’ contribution to global academic knowledge. The ranking highlights the university’s growing influence in international scholarly circles and its emphasis on quality research and innovation.
In the South Asian subregional rankings, Lucknow University is placed around 244th, positioning it among the mid-tier group of leading universities in the region. This ranking demonstrates the university’s expanding academic impact and signals vast potential for advancement through enhanced research visibility, international collaborations, and global engagement.
While the university has shown impressive performance in research and academic reputation, the QS indicators also point toward opportunities for improvement in global visibility and student mobility (inbound and outbound exchange). Notably, the university holds a 142nd position in the international student ratio ranking, indicating its rising global profile.
