Love, Secrets, and Suspense: ‘Laal Dana’ Promises a Thrilling Cinematic Ride

The muhurat shot of the upcoming Bhojpuri feature film ‘Laal Dana’, a blend of mystery, thrill, and romance, was held on Wednesday morning at Shyam Temple in Bakshi Ka Talab, Lucknow. The event began with a symbolic wedding sequence between lead actors Anil Krishna and Ananya, who performed the rituals and received blessings from elders immediately after completing the ceremonial wedding scene.
Produced under the banner of Real Art of National Entertainment, the film features an ensemble cast including Anil Krishna, Ananya Singh, Sunita Rai, Ritu Singh, Archana, Umakant Rai, Abha, Tarush, and Mala Chaubey. For singer Ananya Singh, this marks her debut as an actor on the big screen.

Producers Rajeev Prakash and Rajesh Srivastava revealed that the film is based on a story and screenplay by Rahul Dubey and will be directed by Satyendra N. Dubey, with Vijay Pandey handling cinematography. The film will be shot across picturesque locations including Lucknow, Bakshi Ka Talab, Kakori, Sidhauli, Sitapur, and Kanpur.
Adding star power to the film is Roopa Mishra, regarded as one of Bhojpuri cinema’s most beautiful actresses. Mishra is known for notable performances in films such as Swarg Jaisan Ghar Hamaar, Piya Milan, SP Devi, Anadi, Hum Hain Nirahua Ke Deewani, and Kaali Dulhan.

Actor Anil Krishna, who has earned acclaim for hits like Bulldozer Wali Saas, Kalyugi Brahmachari, Tera Mera Saath Rahe, Saugandh Bholenath Ki, Motli Dulhaniya, and Babuni Hamaar, plays the male lead opposite Mishra.

The film’s music is composed by Anuj Kumar Tiwari, with Narendra Kanojia as the executive producer and Sanjay Shubhankar as the creative director. The production team includes Durgesh Chauhan, Rajveer Ratan, Devendra Modi, Ramesh Yadav, Mashhoor, and Ashok. Supporting roles feature Gaurav Kumar, and local artists Beena Verma, C.S.R. Singh, Balakrishna Sharma, Ishita Varshney, Jyoti, Shalini Chandra, Pankaj Saxena, Anupama, and Monika Agarwal.

‘Laal Dana’ follows the story of Dinanaath alias Danny, a young man working in a multinational company who wishes to marry his colleague Shriti. However, a shocking revelation disrupts his plans — Danny had been married as a child to Sambhavi, the daughter of Putan. As preparations begin for their traditional gauna ceremony, Danny panics upon learning of his past marriage.
Defying his parents, who threaten him with disinheritance and emotional blackmail, Danny refuses to proceed with the gauna and instead files a police complaint against both families under the child marriage law before marrying Shriti. But on his wedding night, an unexpected twist turns his world upside down, steering the film into a mysterious and suspense-filled turn.
At the muhurat event, MLC Pawan Singh Chauhan extended his best wishes for the film’s success. Distinguished guests including former State Bank Staff Association General Secretary Akhilesh Mohan, writer Ravindra Prabhat, Rajeev Saxena, and actor Dalbir Singh were also present.
