"Gurudev Tumko Sau-Sau Naman" Echoes at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan 

LUCKNOW -The historic Mangal Chaturmas Kalash Sthapana Mahotsav of Digambar Jain tradition was celebrated with great fervor at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Gomti Nagar, on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima.  

The four-month chaturmas for the year 2026 will be observed under the guidance of Acharya Subal Sagar Maharaj, a revered disciple of Tapasi Samrat Acharya Sanmati Sagar Ji Maharaj, in the presence of the 'Sapt Rishi Muni Sangh'.

Addressing the religious gathering, Acharya Shri Subal Sagar Ji Maharaj emphasized the importance of sanskars.  
"Those who have sanskars are truly human. Life without sanskars is like that of a demon. Real welfare of life is possible only through good sanskars," he said.  
He added that in today’s time, children must be kept away from the influence of Western culture and the values of the Gurukul tradition should be revived. "For the next four months, the bugle of sanskars will sound and children will be given excellent religious and moral education during this chaturmas," he said.

The event began with cultural performances that captivated the audience. A group of 12 women from Chauk Mahila Mandal presented "Jinke darshan ke liye taraste hain lakhon nayan, Gurudev tumko sau-sau naman," marking the inauguration of the chaturmas festival. This was followed by a devotional dance by the Daliganj and Indira Nagar Mahila Mandals on "Poori Nagari Aaj Sajao."

The ceremony proceeded with the traditional unveiling of the portrait, lamp lighting, pad prakshalan, and offering of scriptures.

Dignitaries Present  
Mayor Sushma Kharkwal attended as the chief guest. Also present were Sanjay Gupta, Provincial President of Adarsh Vyapar Mandal; senior RSS pracharaks Kaushal Ji and Anil from Awadh province; national poet Sarvesh Asthana; and Mukul Mahan, along with several other dignitaries.  
Abhishek Jain, General Secretary of Indira Nagar Jain Mandir Samiti, along with other office bearers, felicitated the guests with mementos.

Mayor Sushma Kharkwal sought blessings from Acharya Shri and said that the welfare of society comes from the penance and blessings of gurus. She prayed for lasting peace and prosperity in Lucknow and expressed the wish that the city achieves the top rank in cleanliness across the country.  

During the event, Abhishek Jain requested the Mayor to organize Acharya Shri’s discourses in Lucknow schools so that the new generation can be connected with moral and social values.

Four-Month Religious Observances to Begin 
With the Kalash Sthapana, the chaturmas has officially commenced. For the next four months, all religious and spiritual activities including jap, tap, niyam, and sadhana will be held at the Digambar Jain Temple, Indira Nagar.

The event saw participation from a large number of devotees from across the state, including Sanjeev Jain, P.K. Jain, Subodh Jain, Jagesh Jain, Anurodh Jain, Arvind Jain, Rishabh Jain, Divya Jain, Vishal Jain, and guests from Delhi such as Bachchi Lal Jain, Nem Kumar Jain, Hansraj Jain, Dhiraj Kumar, and Vimal Chandra Jain.
