CM Yogi Adityanath Distributes Certificates to Trainees at Samsung Innovation Campus Phase-3 in Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur — Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that technology has become a key catalyst for transformation in life and plays a decisive role in accelerating business growth. He was addressing the gathering after distributing certificates to students who successfully completed training under Samsung Innovation Campus Phase-3, organized in collaboration with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI).

The program, focused on emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), and Coding & Programming, provided hands-on training to over 1,600 youth, with certificates distributed during the ceremony.

The Chief Minister praised Samsung as one of the world’s leading electronics companies and said that its investments in Uttar Pradesh serve as a “global brand ambassador” for the state. Under the third phase of the Samsung Innovation Campus, 10,000 youth across India have been trained — including 5,000 from Uttar Pradesh and 2,000 from Gorakhpur and nearby regions.

CM Yogi said that both the Central and State Governments are actively supporting young entrepreneurs to establish their own startups. “To assist youth in setting up startups, the state government has created a ₹1,000 crore Fund of Funds,” he announced. “Samsung Innovation Campus is providing a platform for youth to walk the path of self-reliance.”

Highlighting the importance of practical education, he said, “Students in academic institutions often receive only theoretical knowledge. Programs like Samsung Innovation Campus help them gain practical experience, which is essential for real-life success.” He urged students to engage with emerging technologies like AI, IoT, and Big Data to develop innovative solutions for modern challenges.

The Chief Minister noted that modern technology boosts the economy and enables every citizen to become self-reliant, adding that Uttar Pradesh’s youth form a major part of India’s working-age population. “India is the world’s youngest nation, and Uttar Pradesh has the highest youth population — about 56 to 60 percent of its total demographic,” he said.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, CM Yogi said that India is now recognized globally as a rising power. “Before 2014, the nation faced a crisis of identity and rampant corruption. Under PM Modi’s leadership, initiatives like Startup India, Stand-Up India, and Digital India have positioned India as the world’s fourth-largest economy.”

He further emphasized research and development as the foundation of progress, saying, “Nations that prioritize innovation and R&D are the ones that lead globally.”

Yogi Adityanath also spoke about the government’s efforts to integrate technology into education and skill development. “In collaboration with Tata Technologies Ltd, the state government is modernizing more than 150 government ITIs to train youth in emerging technologies,” he said.

He urged youths to focus on solutions rather than problems, stating, “Success lies in finding solutions, not escaping challenges. When we stop blaming others and start working toward resolving issues, progress follows.”

Discussing social responsibilities, the Chief Minister stressed adherence to traffic rules and environmental awareness, especially regarding stubble burning, which has worsened air quality in Delhi and northern India. “In earlier times, villagers managed waste by turning it into compost — a sustainable practice that maintained soil fertility. We must revive such eco-friendly traditions,” he added.

During the event, a short film highlighting the mission and impact of Samsung Innovation Campus Phase-3 was screened.

The program was also addressed by  J.B. Park, CEO & President of Samsung Southwest Asia, Vinod Sharma, Chairman of ESSCI, and Prof. Poonam Tandon, Vice-Chancellor of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University.

The ceremony was attended by MP Ravi Kishan Shukla, MLAs Vipin Singh, Pradeep Shukla, Shriram Chauhan, Dr. Vimlesh Paswan, Eng. Sarvan Nishad, State Women’s Commission Vice-Chairperson Charu Chaudhary, and several other dignitaries.
