From traditional galleries to digital platforms, the city’s evolving art scene is empowering the next generation to blend tradition with contemporary expression, making waves locally and beyond.

Kala Srot Art Gallery is a cornerstone for emerging talent. “Exhibiting at Kala Srot was a turning point for me,” says 22-year-old printmaking student Ayesha Khan, whose vibrant linocuts were featured in a recent College of Arts and Crafts exhibition. “The gallery’s professional setup and the feedback from collectors gave me confidence to push my boundaries.” Such curated events connect young artists with critics and enthusiasts, offering exposure and validation.

Cultural festivals and collectives, like the local Artists’ Association, offer workshops and networking. “Collaborating with peers through the association opened new perspectives,” notes painter Arjun Yadav, 23.
