Book Launch: Dr. Atul Krishna Unveils “Revolutionaries of Uttarakhand”
Dehradun, Uttarakhand: In a grand ceremony held in the capital of Uttarakhand, Dehradun, Dr. Atul Krishna, founder of the Subharti Group and renowned educationist and social worker, launched his latest book titled “Revolutionaries of Uttarakhand”. The book, dedicated to the unsung heroes of Uttarakhand’s history, was jointly organized by Gautam Buddha Medical College and Dr. K.K.B.M. Subharti Hospital, Jhajhra. The event was presided over by Deependra Chaudhary (IAS), with Ayush, Secretary of the Education Department, also in attendance.
The chief guest, Dr. Chandi Prasad Ghildiyal “Devgyan”, a noted astrologer and Assistant Director of Sanskrit Education, Uttarakhand Government, praised the work for its meticulous research and balanced narrative. He emphasized that the sacrifices, patriotism, and courage of Uttarakhand’s revolutionaries serve as an invaluable legacy for future generations, and that this book would ignite a renewed sense of national pride among youth.
Addressing the audience, Dr. Atul Krishna said that the book is not merely a historical record, but a tribute to extraordinary individuals whose bravery and determination sparked revolutions across Uttarakhand’s mountainous valleys. He noted that it highlights many unsung heroes who had been overlooked in mainstream historical accounts. Dr. Krishna’s previous works, including Jeevan Tarangini (a five-volume autobiography) and Rashtra Anubhuti, focus on educating and inspiring youth about service, culture, and nationalism.
The launch event, held at the auditorium of Gautam Buddha Medical College, saw a large gathering of eminent personalities from education, healthcare, literature, and social service sectors. The ceremony began with a floral tribute to Bharat Mata and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, conducted by senior faculty and officials. The program was smoothly hosted by Dr. Rajesh Tiwari, adding cultural and spiritual vibrancy to the proceedings.
Guests lauded the book as a significant effort to restore Uttarakhand’s historical legacy, offering future generations an opportunity to recognize their true heroes. Distinguished scholars from Uttarakhand were honored, and the attendees unanimously appreciated the event for celebrating the region’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
