Audi eyes big game by end of 2025

Mumbai: German automobile manufacturer Audi plans to introduce more than 20 new models in various markets by the end of 2025. Audi AG Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gernot Dollner said that the company also plans to electrify all major segments by 2027. The automaker has also earmarked capital expenditure of 41 billion euros for the period between 2024-2028.

Audi AG will invest 11.5 billion euros in the development of ICEs (internal combustion engines), PHEVs (plug-in hybrid electric vehicles) and other segments, and 29.5 billion euros in BEVs (battery electric vehicles) and digitalization. “The Audi Q6 e-tron is the beginning of a broader product initiative that we will use to rejuvenate our portfolio in the coming years,” Döllner said.

“We are planning more than 20 new models in 2024 and 2025, including the presentation of the A6 e-tron in the summer of 2024 and as the first model on the new Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) in the second half of the year,” he said. The CEO said the group is preparing itself for the future economically, technologically and strategically, and plans to bring new products on the road one by one.
